About Me

Hi! My name is Jayleen Chavez, and I’m a Biological Engineering student at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and have always had a strong interest in STEM. I am a detailed-oriented and motivated student pursing a career in engineering.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of academics and working, I enjoy staying active. Tennis, racquetball, and hiking are my three favorite ways to unwind. I am also an avid reader and I am always looking forward to starting my next book. In addition, I love to travel and explore new cities. My favorite place to visit is Mexico and I have currently been there over 15 times.
